Soomi Kim
Founder of GymKim Choreo LLC
Soomi Kim is an NYC based veteran gymnastics coach (formerly at Chelsea Piers, NY), choreographer and award winning actor/theatre artist. Soomi's wide ranging movement background includes dance (modern, contemporary, jazz, hip hop), gymnastics and martial arts (Wushu and Wing Chun). She has choreographed over 200 floor routines for D.P. gymnasts levels 6-Jr. Elite, many who have won State and Regional titles on floor. In 2018 she was invited by Cheryl Medley Jarrett to give a workshop at the National Gymnastics Congress for what Kim coined as "Devising Floor," utilizing a process she has developed integrating theatre devising techniques. That same year she was awarded Coach of the Year at Chelsea Piers NY, where she coached for 18 years. She has choreographed for the following gyms: Chelsea Piers NY, Arena (NJ), VeGa, Sports Fitness & Fun, L.I. Elite, Towers Gym, Bay Aerials, Indigo Gym, All American Bellmore, Arena (CT), L.I. Core, Elite NJ, Island Gymnasticz, New Image and Towson University. Kim has also had an extensive career as an actor/theatre maker. You can find out more about her performance work at:
Riley Dunbar

Riley obtained her BFA in Photography from The Ohio State University where she was showcased in various group shows, and received multiple awards, including an Honors Research Grant to conduct a project in photography and printmaking in Western Germany. Before moving to New York City, Riley spent a few years in Budapest, Hungary where she co-founded an international art collective, egypercé. Riley also founded an after school gymnastics program in Hungary for young children to help them learn english. Riley currently coaches Compulsory Gymnastics for the Chelsea Piers Girls J.O. Team. She is also pursuing an MFA in Studio Art at New York University, and was featured in the group shows Tulpamancy and Elastic Valley, and had a solo show during the MFA Project Space Series at 80WSE Gallery. Riley is excited for all the incredible opportunities GymKim Choreo is offering young athletes and is thrilled to be part of the team!
Stephanie Lacy

Stephanie began gymnastics at the age of three, and started competing at age nine in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Stephanie was recruited to compete for the varsity dance team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Brain and Cognitive Sciences before moving to New York City. She is a choreographer and dancer for DanceWorks NYC and has trained with and performed for many industry professionals. She was selected to present original work in choreography festivals at Dixon Place, Mark Morris, and The Ailey Studios for the past few years. Stephanie’s choreography has been featured in many CPNY Xcel and USA Gymnastics Development Program athletes’ floor routines, where she is in her sixth year coaching the Girls USA Gymnastics Development Team. She is excited to continue choreographing on staff with GymKimChoreo! Stephanie is also the Social Media Coordinator for The Alvin Ailey School and brings marketing expertise as well to the GymKimChoreo team.
